About Learning Courses

A growing sector facing ever-changing challenges requires Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and humanitarian practitioners to be constantly learning, adapting and updating in order to help those in need. HAD, as an award-winning training and capacity building humanitarian organisation, combines 35 years of on-the-ground practitioner expertise (Learning and Development). As a learning division of Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW), we’re able to utilise on-the-ground frontline experience and work with over 40 IRW offices worldwide. This gives us an edge in the industry whilst allowing us to see first-hand how our training translates into action.

We can work in collaboration with your organisation to provide training and consultancy to 10+ employees within your work premises or at a venue of your choice. Our international team of experts have already delivered training to 27+ countries globally.

Our training centre near the heart of Birmingham City is a great setting for your staff to attend our courses.

Where we work?

Since our foundation in 2013 we have trained humanitarian staff from over 40 countries and counting. Due to our access to some of the most hard-to-reach areas and our faith-based understanding we are able to train in humanitarian hot zones. Some of our training attendees hail from countries such as: South Sudan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.

Our Learning and Development team were challenged to translate all of our courses into online learning programmes, due to the effects of Covid-19. As a result, we’re able to provide a learning experience to humanitarians in hard-to-reach areas.
