Abdulbaset is currently working as a consultant and trainer in the field of Strategic Management and Marketing.  Abdulbaset has a BSc in Petroleum Engineering, and he holds a Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) in IT from Manchester Metropolitan University.  He also possesses a Professional Diploma in Marketing (DIPM), with distinction, from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), with whom he enjoys MCIM membership, and has achieved “Chartered Marketer” status with the CIM.  His MBA in International Business was obtained with distinction from Coventry University.

In addition to his roles and responsibilities in several corporates and service companies, Abdulbaset has also worked for the NGO sector in several roles, including the Waqf Programme Manager at Islamic Relief Worldwide where he managed the programme for several years and contributed to its establishment and development.

He also held the position of CEO of ISNAD charity which was his last role in the humanitarian sector.  As part of his MBA dissertation, Abdulbaset researched faith-based donor behaviour in depth, remodelled it and proposed a new, practical and universally applicable model.
