Kasim is Senior Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Coventry University. Over the past twenty years, Kasim has held posts at universities in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. He has received research funding from a number of organisations worldwide, including The Qatar Foundation, which supported research examining migration, which was published by Georgetown University’s Centre for International and Regional Studies.
Kasim is also an Associate Fellow at Said Business School and Kellogg College, University of Oxford, where he supervises management postgraduates and researches Islamic marketing and economic diversification through global Halal trade and Waqf-based development. He is on the Editorial Advisory Board for the International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management and is Associate Editor for a number of scholarly journals.
