With a passion for helping those in need, Djamel’s career with HAD began with his voluntary work for Islamic Relief in 2002. During this time, he was a major support in helping pack and provide supplies for beneficiaries such as filling up containers that were going to Iraq to provide shelter materials such as tents and blankets.
Shortly after in 2005 Djamel was hired as a security officer for Islamic relief, where he worked to support the organisation for many years. In 2014, he was offered a position in the Humanitarian Academy for Development where he has since been working as an administration and support officer. Some of his duties include logistics of the building and he will be one of the first faces to welcome you at our office.
