Dr Aliyu Dahiru Muhammed

Aliyu Dahiru Muhammad received his Masters and Ph.D in Economics from the International Islamic University Malaysia. His research interests include Islamic microfinance and poverty reduction. He received the Faculty of Economics Best Student Award for Doctor of Economics in November, 2013.
Currently, Dr Aliyu a lecturer and Deputy Director (Training and Linkages) at the International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, Bayero University Kano-Nigeria and he has presented papers on Islamic Economics in many countries.
Aliyu received a gold medal at “IIUM Research, Invention and Innovation Exhibition 2013″ for his thesis entitled “Challenges of Microfinance and the Prospects of Developing and Introducing an Islamic Micro-Investment Model in Nigeria”.
