“I became an intern within the International Finance Department. A year later I then joined the treasury team as a compliance officer. After some time I was promoted to as a Treasury Accountant and I manage my own team, build and maintain relationships with domestic and international banks.”
MISSION: UNDERSTANDING THE MANAGEMENT OF HUMANITARIAN FUNDS
DURATION: 3 MONTHS
After graduating in 2015, I joined the International Finance Department as an intern. The knowledge and experience I had gained from my 3 months as an intern, proved invaluable in developing my career.
A year later I returned to the organisation and joined the Treasury team as a compliance officer, in which I helped shape the compliance policies and procedures within the finance team. After a short while, I was promoted to Treasury Accountant. I currently manage the compliance officer and build and maintain the banking relationships for our domestic and international banks.
My experience here at Islamic Relief has been absolutely fantastic and I am very keen to see where my journey continues to take me.
