"I'm enormously impressed by the scale of this centre. When you step in, you can feel this sort of flair of goodness and dignity in the people and in the work that they are doing, " she told the reception of community leaders, journalists, and Islamic Relief staff on July 20. The Secretary of State for International Development also noted the centre's presence in her hometown of Birmingham, saying it added to the multi-ethnic and multi religious tapestry that makes up the city.
