A guide to recreational activities in school-friendly places The version of the manual is not written by any of the staff or members of the project team of protection and psychological support and entertainment implemented by Islamic relief. These are activities that have been used by several sources, especially the Ministry of education, international and local organisations and others. They have been studied, compiled and applied in a relatively different way through planned and structured monthly plans for pilot purposes that achieve project objectives and outputs in terms of the following classification:

Learning Brief: Gender Study In October 2015, qualitative programmes was conducted using focus group discussions and interviews with beneficiaries. The objective was to assess how the programme may have influenced gender roles. In addition, the programmes aimed to identify the barriers people encountered when accessing basic public services and humanitarian aid, and provided an insight into the individual experiences and challenges faced by women and men, and boys and girls. The limited number of interviewees, however, only provides a snapshot of the situation of Syrian refugees in Irbid. The findings from the study aim to contribute to the growing body of evidence calling for gender, age and disability to be mainstreamed within all humanitarian assistance. Furthermore, it concludes with steps forward for Islamic Relief and other humanitarian organisations, calling for more capacity building and sharing of knowledge to local partners. Through working in collaboration, aid agencies can provide refugees with the appropriate support, shelter and education and, in turn, increase access to livelihood activities. The Islamic Relief Response Islamic Relief has experienced many disasters and emergencies within its relief and humanitarian work. We initially believed that the current crisis in Syria would only have an impact at national level. Like other humanitarian organisations, we could not predict the extent to which the whole region would be affected. Since the crisis started in 2011, Islamic Relief has provided support for hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees who have fled to Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. As the crisis and the humanitarian conditions inside Syria continued to worsen, we decided to expand our operations to inside Syria, using all available resources and opportunities to provide relief and urgent support for internally displaced people. Yemen The situation in Yemen reached crisis point when, following several months of fighting, over half a million people were forced to flee their homes in fear of their safety. Fighting has disrupted supplies of water, electricity and medicine. With barely any access to clean water of healthcare, diseases like malaria, meningitis and TB are spreading fast, and over a million people now need emergency treatment. On top of this, a severe food shortage has left 10 million hungry, and over half of Yemen's children malnourished. Islamic Relief has been working in Yemen for over a decade, so we were ready to answer the call immediately, helping those in desperate need all over the country. Employment Project contributions in the Gaza strip إسهامات مشروع التشغيل في قطاع غزة A project implemented by Islamic Relief aims to assist graduates who have recently completed their studies from various academic schemes to find employment. The project assessed market needs in order to equip fresh graduates with relevant knowledge and skills enabling them to meet the needs of the market. The project managed to enhance the economic, social, and physiological standards of 185 new graduates whilst equipping organisations with skilled graduates who met their needs.   Islamic Relief is one of the few humanitarian organisations working cross-border to deliver aid in response to the deepening crisis in Syria. The conflict in the country has killed tens of thousands of people, and has driven over 1.5 million across its borders. For those still inside the country, needs are increasingly acute as conditions continue to deteriorate. It is estimated that over six million people are in need inside Syria. Islamic Relief staff have seen for themselves the horrific situation inside Syria. Millions are thought to be in dire need of food, water and sanitation. In the countries that border Syria, the humanitarian needs of many living in limbo in ever-expanding camps and host communities are deepening. Yet the lack of any significant international presence and proper camp management inside Syria is striking.   Palestine is an exception as malnutrition is on the rise among children under five. Currently, 11 out of 100 Palestinian children under-five suffer chronic malnutrition. Islamic Relief Palestine wants to continue the supporting of Palestinian children in Gaza, aiming to combat malnutrition, through providing them with their need for a part of the day, by supplying fortified milk to 4000 Palestinian children in kindergartens in the poor communities for one school year (180 day). The project ensures that Palestinian preschoolers are provided with at least one source of nutritious food each day. Every single child will receive a packet of 200 ml fortified milk on a daily basis under their teacher's supervision, and the filed supervisors monitoring.
