Country Profile Islamic Relief has been operating in Tunisia since 2011 primarily as a response to the influx of refugees during the Libya Crisis. Since registering an office in Tunisia in 2012, Islamic Relief has set up and managed camps on the Tunisian border and provided humanitarian services to over 15,000. As well as supporting refugees Islamic Relief has implemented projects in health, water and sanitation, food security and education sectors as well as supporting capacity building of local associations. How does the UNHCR intervene to reduce Gender Based Violence? Gender based violence violates human rights. The UNHCR in cooperation with the hosting country are responsible for guaranteeing that migrants and asylum seekers are provided with the protection needed as a preventive strategy to minimize being subject to gender base violence. The UNHCR funds different activities in Tunisia that aims at reducing violence through partnering with different organisations such as: Tunisian Red Crescent, Islamic Relief, and other related organisations. The UNHCR aims to engage all refuge segments in its activities. Gender sensitivity and holding projects accountable in all sectors is one of the things that the UNHCR confirms while implementing their projects. Case Study Interview - 2014 Template For this year’s project, we have coordinated with the regional offices of the Ministry of Social affairs in the targeted regions. Thus, they provided us with a list of the poorest families in each region noted that all these families have Poverty Cards, which are assigned to the beneficiaries according to precise criteria. The main challenge we faced in this year’s project was principally linked to the execution phase and more specifically during the distribution as it coincided with the campaign of the legislative election. Thus, our work might be exploited from several parties and several media organizations. Fortunately, IRT was conscious of this challenge and succeeded to cope with it through the coordination with the local state organizations. What is the standard framework? ما هو التدبير الإتفاقي؟ هو اتفاق جماعي بخصوص التدبير الأكثر تلاؤما مع وضعية الطفل وحاجاته ومصلحته الفضلى (وجوب تحرير اتفاق بدقة يتضمن تحديد الوضعية والطرق الكفيلة بمعالجتها). ويتم تدوينه وتلاوته على مختلف الأطراف (أبوي الطفل أو من له النظر عليه) بما في ذلك الطفل إذا ما بلغ 13 عاما للمصادقة عليه. The standard framework aims to regulate the relationship between the parents to ensure that the specific needs of the child are met. This is achieved through identifying, documenting, and presenting the terms and conditions for the parents or those who are in-charge. Tunisia ratified the Child Rights Convention in 1991 to ensure that child protection is maintained till the age of 13.
