Islamic Relief Worldwide established HAD based on our cumulative experience and knowledge, which was gathered from our operations globally. I think one of the most important services that HAD delivers, and one which is very close to my heart, is our internship programme. It provides us with future leadership at Islamic Relief and helps to identify and develop the skills of the global humanitarian and development leaders of tomorrow. I believe HAD has come a long way over the last seven years and has already begun implementing some fantastic and innovative projects in such countries and this will really help Islamic Relief to remain at the forefront of our peers and lead the humanitarian and development sector over the coming years.”
