Islamic Relief focuses on developmental projects in the following areas

• Education and Vocational Training
• Improving the income of poor families
• Providing clean water
• Health and Nutrition

It also provides emergency humanitarian assistance to many countries around the world. It was one of the first charities to provide humanitarian relief in Bosnia, Chechnya and Kosovo. The relief work provided by Islamic relief is dependent on the nature of the disaster and the geographical location. Islamic relief also has an orphan project where people can personally sponsor an orphan or donate towards a general Orphan pot which would provide nutrition, medicine and education to the orphan. Islamic relief also works on seasonal projects such as Ramadan Iftar programme as well as Qurbani. These projects have become well established over the years and the beneficiaries are rising.
