تعتبر اإلغاثة اإلسالمية من أكبر المؤسسات التي تقوم بتقديم التمويل بصيغ تتالئم مع الشريعة اإلسالمية في قطاع غزة، حيث قامت بتأسيس برنامج تنمية المشاريع الصغيرة جدًا في العام 1998 بهدف مساعدة ذوي الدخل المحدود من أصحاب المشاريع الصغيرة لتطوير مشاريعهم أو البدء بمشاريع جديدة مدرة للدخل وذلك لتحسين دخلهم ومساعدتهم على توفير سبل العيش الكريمة. وتسعى اإلغاثة اإلسالمية إلتباع أفضل الممارسات في التمويل األصغر وتسعى للوصول ألكبر عدد ممكن من الفقراء وذوي الدخل المحدود، يقوم برنامج تنمية المشاريع الصغيرة جدًا بتمويل المشاريع الصغيرة باستخدام صيغتين من صيغ التمويل اإلسالمي المتنوعة وهما المرابحة والقرض الحسن، وبلغ عدد المشاريع الممولة منذ بدأ عمل البرنامج عمله 2434 مشروع، بقيمة 7,029,577 دوالر امريكي
Islamic Relief is considered a large institution that provides finance in adherence to Islamic law in the Gaza Strip. The Islamic Relief Micro Enterprise Program was launched in 1998 with the aim of improving people’s livelihood and providing them with decent living conditions by supporting low-income micro-entrepreneurs to develop their own businesses, or funding the establishment of new business start ups in order to create new jobs and create economic opportunities.
Islamic Relief ensures it adapts to the best Islamic practices in micro finance, as well as accessing and targeting the largest possible number of poor and low-income people. The Micro Enterprises Program adapts two Muslim funding formulas; Murabaha loan and Al Kard Al Hassan. The Program so far has supported 2434 business start ups with a total budget of $7029577.
