Migration

Increasing levels of conflict, socio-economic grievances and adverse effects of climate change and natural disasters have resulted in mass international and internal displacement worldwide. The world counted 260 million international migrants in 2017, representing over 3 per cent of the global population. Many migrants face acts of violence and discrimination, including racist and physical attacks. The growing refugee crisis needs urgent support and aid assistance. Research can help us address these issues more effectively.
