This year Islamic Relief was invited to the United Nations Headquarters in New York for a seminar discussing Islamophobia and confronting intolerance. I was asked to be one of the panel speakers and proceeded to prepare a lengthy speech which tackled this thorny subject. A few days before I went to New York, however, I began to think about a second shorter speech would could be delivered instead of the longer one which I intended to hand out to the delegates.
