Sharar Mahyub
Head of Programmes
Sharar has over 10 years of experience in the area of programmes and development work, within the humanitarian sector.
Prior to joining HAD, Sharar had been working within the International Programmes Division Islamic Relief Worldwide. Sharar worked closely with a number of field offices across the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe providing support at both country and headquarters to ensure the stability and growth of the field country offices.
Sharar was also Managing Director for the Yemen Microfinance Network, an organisation who provided training and capacity building for microfinance institutions and banks. He has also worked in academia, establishing the first English medium International college in Yemen where students could access undergraduate and postgraduate courses from overseas.
Sharar leads on the coordination of training and capacity building for Islamic Relief field and partner offices.
