Course overview

Many organisations struggle with succession planning, which, short-term, is the process of replacing a manager, and long-term, ensuring a steady flow of management personnel, reducing disruption to the organisation. This introductory course aims to develop the next generation of managers, preparing them for when the next vacancy arises.

Main objectives:

  • To help new and aspiring managers grow and develop their management acumen through theory and practical application.

  • To prepare prospective managers to effectively make the transition from ‘work mate’ to manager.

  • To form a pipeline of new management talent and aid with succession planning.
