Islamic Relief Kenya Annual Report 2017

At the heart of all Islamic Relief Kenya’s work is the commitment to meet the needs of those who we work with by providing sustainable change to the vulnerable in the community. We are motivated by their needs and driven by their dreams.

The past year was marked by a drought that was experienced in at least 23 counties in Kenya. We expanded our work to Kilifi County, responding to the effects of the drought to the communities. We responded to the situation immediately by providing emergency relief to those affected in Kilifi as well as our other areas of operation including, Mandera, Wajir and Garissa Counties. We provided life-saving food supplies and non-food items such as water storage containers,hygiene kits as well as hygiene and sanitation promotion.
