Course overview

Having a well thought-out and developed logical framework – or logframe – increases chances of success both in obtaining funding for a project and in project implementation and monitoring. This course helps participants to conceptualise projects as an orderly hierarchy of outputs, outcomes, and goals that contribute to a wider impact.

Main objectives:

  • To understand what a logical framework is and how to effectively use one.

  • To enable participants to develop and use logical frameworks for project design and proposal-writing.

What will you learn?

  • 1

How to use a problem tree to analyse a problem, identify an intervention pathway, and formulate the intervention’s objectives.

  • 2

How to distinguish between different levels of change in the logframe.

  • 3

How to formulate the project logic and develop appropriate results statements for each level of change.

  • 4

How to identify project assumptions and where to place them in a logframe.

Who is this course for?
