Stepping into the first half of 2023 has been a very exciting time of growth and progress for us here at HAD. We've been working on developing the capabilities of humanitarians, empowering those dedicated to aiding the most vulnerable and crisis-stricken corners of our world, including regions like Yemen. We've worked with NGOs and CSOs, to strengthen and transform the skill set of on-ground humanitarians which is ultimately helping to elevate their service to those in dire need. The second half of 2022 has been an exciting time of growth and progress for us at HAD. We've transformed humanitarians working in some of the most vulnerable and crisis-hit parts of the world like Yemen and Iraq. We have also worked very closely with NGOs and CSOs in these countries to build on the strengths of humanitarians working on the ground to serve the needy. The first half of 2022 has been very successful for HAD, with some challenges faced along the way. So far we have managed to secure and close some big projects focusing more on strengthening the local NGOs & CSOs in countries like Iraq and Yemen. We have also had some milestone achievements in building the capacity of Islamic Relief Worldwide through our continued training programmes like Governance Training where we bring together the board of trustees to tackle key issues facing the organisation. June 24, 2020 HAD Becomes Member of the H2H Network Here at HAD, we are delighted to share that we are now a member of the H2H Network and have been granted funding for a Covid-19 response capacity building project. The H2H Network, which stands for ‘humanitarian-to-humanitarian’ network, consists of approximately 50 organisations that provide high-quality and integrated services to support other humanitarian responders. Network members address cross-cutting issues to help the overall response be more effective, of higher quality, and more efficient. March 24, 2020 Islamic Relief UK Launches Emergency Coronavirus Appeal and Gives £500,000 To Support the Country’s Most Vulnerable People HADs partner Islamic Relief UK has launched an emergency appeal to support the country’s most vulnerable people during the coronavirus outbreak through local charity partners. It is also immediately making £500,000 available to support these organisations. The first partner charity that will benefit from the appeal is Sufra, a foodbank and community hub in the London borough of Brent and an existing local partner for Islamic Relief UK. March 9, 2020 International Women’s Day Workshop March 2020 Sunday 8th March marks International Women’s Day, which has been held every year on 8th March since 1977.
