A 10-point Roadmap for Europe European governments and the European Commission have been increasingly supporting a greater role for the private sector in their development cooperation. With new EU policies and instruments such as the European External Investment Plan, it was deemed important for CONCORD members to agree on a common position, common messages and priorities regarding the role of the private sector in contributing to sustainable development. The deterioration occurring in the infrastructure of Iraq during the last 20 years, especially in Water and Sanitation sectors (which are most important sectors) has created a major health problem. Malaria Malaria is known to be one of the oldest and deadliest diseases to affect mankind. While its actual age is still debated, its deadly affects on human beings are not. The latest report from the World Health Organization shows that approximately half the world’s population is at risk of contracting a form of malaria.
