Mission Kyrgyzstan / 2020 – 2021 Aiming at improving CSOs Financial Sustainability, the project interventions worked towards developing increase income generation of the CSOs from diversified sources, improve effectiveness of fundraising activities and increase human capital in the area of fundraising. Mission Gaza, Palestine / 2020-2021 The project contributed to increasing youth inclusiveness in Covid-19 response in Gaza. The training course aimed at enhancing skills, knowledge and confidence of 15 youth from Gaza Strip in their ability to design, facilitate and implement, round-table/webinars discussion with relevant stakeholders on the COVID-19 response in Gaza, through evidence-based presentation. 16 days of training to 12 youth supported by 4 days mentoring & coaching.

Mission Gaza, Palestine / 2015- ongoing The project aimed to enable LNGOs to increase their chances of winning projects and securing funds directly from funding sources. This was done through interventions; Gap and needs assessments, training, mentoring, coaching in both proposal and report writing. In addition to CHS workshop in coordination with CHS Alliance on strengthening quality and accountability.

Mission Yemen, Iraq, Syria/ 2020 – 2021 Local Iraqi, Syrian and Yemeni NGOs were provided training, coaching, and mentoring to adjust to the COVID-19 crisis in order to ensure their sustainability and business continuity through the pandemic and other crises. The project built the capacity of NGOs on COVID-19 response and provided access to information, knowledge and skills to implement and ensure business continuity. The project conducted fully fledged capacity building needs assessment and built capacity development plans per NGO, receiving training, mentoring & coaching in such areas.

Mission Istanbul, Turkey / 2019 – 2020 HAD Provided Technical Report Writing Training and Negotiation Skills Training to the Libyan Ministry of Planning employees, funded by UNDP Libya. The training courses lasted 5 days each and created a total of 25 training seats. The training was designed using an interactive approach, with HAD providing the training materials, pre- and post-tests and certificates of completion. Mission Baghdad, Iraq / 2021 Beginning on 30th May 2021, HAD delivered a 5 day Report Writing course to 16 participants from various national partners of UNMAS Iraq. The course aimed to improve the participants’ capacities in preparing and writing reports, as well as providing them with the technical skills necessary to collect information and data, prepare, formulate and produce reports efficiently and effectively. The training also provided the participants with skills in structuring and scoping of reports, from conception to completion, that target specific audiences with visual aids to support the report.

Mission Erbil and Baghdad, Iraq / 2021 – 2022 Under this project, HAD delivered two 5-day Project D Pro trainings to the National Mine Action Authorities in Iraq, one each in Erbil and Baghdad. The trainings were attended by 15 participants from the Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency in Erbil and 12 from the Directorate of Mine Action in Baghdad. The course delivered the PM4NGOs method of Project D Pro and built the capacity of the learner’s ability to apply project management concept and tools in order to deliver a more effective and efficient Mine Action response.

Mission Erbil , Iraq and virtually / 2022- ongoing Capacity Building of UNFPA Iraq Partners, HAD is currently providing capacity building services to UNFPA in Iraq through the delivery of both remote and face to face trainings in 4 subject areas, including: Report Writing Advanced Accountability and M&E IT Trainings (MS software) Strategic Planning for the Directorates

Mission Humanitarian Academy for Development / January 2020 Thought leadership and capacity-building require spaces to nurture, consider, develop and spread new ideas and approaches. With that need of the sector in mind, the Humanitarian Academy for Development (HAD) co-organised and hosted a conference bringing together academics, practitioners, donors and thought leaders within the Muslim charities sector. Attendees were part of thoughtful and innovative discussions and presentations which covered a range of topics.
