MISSION: BEING PART OF THE AMAZING TEAM OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
DURATION: 3 MONTHS

“My Internship at HAD will hopefully be the first step I need to get involved in the NGO sector, giving me the chance to incorporate not only my two degrees together, but also my will to do something good for the world.”

After I graduated from Journalism School in Chile, I worked in media and also in Communications Agencies, but I always felt that something was missing. As I had always been curious about religion, I decided that it was time to study a Master’s degree in Religion, Politics and Society from the University of Birmingham.

During the end of my Master’s, I decided to combine my two degrees together and begin my three-month internship in the Marketing and Communications Department at HAD. During my time in this role, I have had the opportunity to learn more about my area of expertise, adding knowledge about Marketing strategies, writing blogs and also being part of a CRM project for HAD.

What I expect from this internship is to learn, learn and learn some more. I would love that this opportunity can be my first step into growing in the NGO sector, putting together my training in Journalism with the skills gained in HAD into a better professional and social worker. What I love about HAD is that interns are taken seriously and challenged every-day, which has made my time here meaningful. Also, it has made me feel that I am here with a purpose, which I think is the best thing about working in an NGO.
